Net Zero Project
Overview of the Net Zero Project
The net zero project is one of the cornerstones of KBR’s climate action. Through the net zero project, we tackle the reduction of our GHG emissions to reduce our contribution to climate change, in line with the recommendations of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). Net zero emissions is an internationally agreed upon goal for mitigating climate change in the second half of the century. The IPCC has concluded that to remain consistent with the 1.5°C degrees warming pathway and avoid the most catastrophic impacts of climate change, net zero global CO₂ emissions need to be achieved by 2050 at the very latest.
