A new chapter of IMPACT — KBR’s employee resource group dedicated to the development of early-career professionals — has launched in the Singapore office. This is the 13th IMPACT chapter and joins other IMPACT chapters in locations across North America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Australia.
The Global Marketing and Communications team took on a stair challenge as a way to stay active during the summer months while avoiding the heat. The team collectively climbed 832 flights of stairs in the KBR tower during the three-month challenge.
The People Perspectives Survey (PPS) and PPS Plus for project hires are critical for helping make the changes we need to ensure KBR is the best place to work. This year we had a total of 16,948 people take the surveys. Check out the full results here!
As part of our ongoing desire to create truly inclusive workplaces, the Frazer-Nash Consultancy team has established a working group that is exploring how we can shift our view of neurodiversity away from thinking of it as a form of disability and instead seeing value in everyone’s contribution. Then, by establishing the right support systems and fostering a culture of belonging for all, we can enable every person to have a rewarding career. The first step has involved getting staff to self-identify as neurodiverse and working closely with those individuals to gain a better understanding of what work looks like for them.
The first KBR Global Hackathon kicked off on September 8. Regional teams across the globe worked together and showcased their skills and creativity to create outcomes that can make a real difference, competing against other teams for a chance to win a trip of a lifetime around the world with KBR.
KBR has had a steady increase of female new hires, adding 6,661 female new hires in 2022. KBR is committed to supporting a diverse workforce where everyone feels valued and can thrive.
KBR Australia announced the launch of its Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) which reflects the company’s commitment to fostering innovation while honoring the principles of reconciliation with Indigenous peoples. You can read more about the Innovate RAP in this edition’s feature story.
KBR opened a new office in Huntsville, Alabama, on September 20. The executive leadership team and employees across the globe gathered to celebrate the grand opening of the new Redstone Gateway office.
In August, KBR raised over $12,500 through a charity bingo event to support the Hawai’i Community Foundation Maui Strong Fund which is providing rapid response and recovery for the devastating wildfires on Maui.
As a way to promote a more inclusive workforce, KBR offers our Backup Care Benefit, which covers childcare and eldercare leave. The benefit, where available, is designed for occasions such as school breaks, bad weather events, or elder family medical events and care needs.
