The Road to Trinzic
From Spin-off to New Global Brand
The big reveal has happened. KBR Mission Technology Solutions will operate as Trinzic.
The transition is expected to be finalized in January 2027. It should go without saying that there isn’t a spin-off switch, Mission Tech Monday, Trinzic Tuesday.
Since the spin-off announcement in September 2025, there’s been an extraordinary effort happening behind the scenes to make the spin-off happen seamlessly for customers and employees. That includes the work of the Project Management Office (PMO) team which has been supporting workstream owners across the initiatives from People, IT, Legal, Accounting and more. (You can read about the excellent work the PMO team has been doing in this edition’s Functional Focus feature.)
In this KBR Link feature, we’ll take you on a deeper dive into what’s been happening and what we can all expect in the final push to January 2027.
The Journey

Trinzic, Assemble!
So where are we now in the journey? Currently, the focus is on Trinzic being operationally ready by October 2026. This means having in place the right and best structures and processes and filling critical roles. An important step was finding the right chief executive and chief financial officers to lead Trinzic as it’s introduced to the world. (You can read about those appointments in this edition’s executive leadership team feature.)
But ensuring processes and systems function at the highest possible level before official launch is crucial.
What does it take to get a new company ready for launch? Even if it’s being built on a strong existing structure, there’s tons of work to do. This includes disentangling corporate entities, separating networks and data centers (or establishing new ones), migrating email, completing employee/system readiness, obtaining and declaring board approval, and much, much more.
With IT, for example, Trinzic is designing onboarding processes so new employees can access the tools and resources they need through final email and user migration in March 2027. Throughout the migration process, the goal is to keep every team member informed, prepared and supported so the move to the Trinzic environment is as smooth as possible.
Despite separating from KBR, Trinzic will still be a large company. Migration for nearly 20,000 employees delivering critical government missions must happen with minimal disruptions and customer impact.
To that end, four critical workstreams have been collaborating to ensure Trinzic’s systems are secure and well supported. Those are:
- Digital infrastructure
- Enterprise platforms
- Application portfolio
- Secure access

DIGITAL INFRASTRUCTURE
U.S. data centers established
Ashburn | El Segundo

ENTERPRISE PLATFORMS
Duplicate environments prepared
Workday | ServiceNow | Salesforce

APPLICATION PORTFOLIO
Landscape reviewed
Reduce overlap | Prioritize tools

SECURE ACCESS
New sign-in methods tested
Intuitive access at cutover
For infrastructure, U.S. data centers in Ashburn, Virginia, and El Segundo, California, have been established, giving Trinzic the strong foundation necessary for the transition. Across enterprise platforms, duplicate environments have been prepared for Workday, ServiceNow and Salesforce, so that Trinzic can operate independently and without disruption. Trinzic’s extensive application portfolio has been reviewed to reduce overlap and to prioritize the tools that matter most. And new sign-in methods have been tested to ensure intuitive, secure access during system migration.
These workstreams represent more than technical preparedness. They reflect months of coordinated planning, disciplined execution and cross-functional commitment to delivering a secure, seamless transition for Trinzic employees.

A Brand-new Brand Look
A big part of starting a new company is developing the public-facing brand. Much hinges on how people connect a company’s look and feel with what the company does and the quality of its work.
What’s in a name?
The consideration for choosing a company name might surprise you. The journey to “Trinzic” started with more than 1,100 suggestions. We had to think about whether the company should be a real word or invented. Single or compound word? How many syllables?
Then we had to investigate possible trademark conflicts and perform linguistic research, which included review of language and dialects in primary markets, ease of pronunciation or cultural issues, similarity to other brand names, and much more.
The final choice, Trinzic, comes from “intrinsic” and reflects the company’s role as an essential, built-in provider of complex, mission-critical solutions. The stylized letter N signifies an “axis of action,” whereby complex problems become clear solutions, and also resembles an infinity symbol which symbolizes continuous innovation and long-term impact.
New tagline, who’s this?
Trinzic’s new tagline is “The Bold. Connected.” It reflects how the company supports the bold — the people who operate every day on the edge — and how Trinzic connects them to the tools and expertise they need to get the job done with bold, future-forward, digitally driven, built-for-purpose solutions.
More to Come
So much has already been done to make Trinzic a reality and, moreover, a successful, growing business. Exciting days are ahead, but we can celebrate the amazing work that’s already been done.
