Diversity & inclusion

KBR’s culture is built on a commitment to Zero Harm — doing the right thing and making decisions that count for our planet, our communities, our business and, most importantly, our people. We are dedicated to creating collaborative environments that transcend cultures and geographical boundaries, where all ideas, viewpoints and input are heard, respected and considered.

Employee Resource Groups

KBR’s Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) help shape our company culture by bringing together people of different backgrounds who share similar interests. These employee-led and employee-organised groups offer our people an opportunity to collaborate with their colleagues from all over Australia - and around the world - through career development, personal enrichment, networking, community engagement and much more.

In Australia we have five employee resource groups:

  • IMPACT – a group for developing early years (0-10 years) professionals
  • ASPIRE – a group committed to the development of women and the promotion of gender diversity
  • Pride + Allies – a group that aims to give LGBTQ+ people equal opportunity to learn, influence and lead within our business
  • ADAPT – a group whose mission is to educate, empower, and advocate for individuals with conditions that qualify as disabilities
  • ARMED FORCES – a group that welcomes all veterans, reservists, spouses and supporters across KBR

Hannah Crowther, KBR’s National Chair of ASPIRE: "I’m really passionate about getting more women involved in the engineering industry. As the Chair of ASPIRE, it’s my role to help support KBR’s commitment to the development of women and the promotion of gender diversity in the business. We do this by ensuring women are considered for promotions, increasing the number of female employees through recruitment and retention initiatives, encouraging our female employees to nominate themselves for awards and submit abstracts for conferences, and celebrating the women in the business on significant days in the calendar. With so many career opportunities for women – both in technical and non-technical roles – KBR can offer an enriching and fulfilling career."
