India Year-in-Review
Projects, People, Partnerships and Progress
2025 has been a defining year for KBR India, a year of engineering excellence, operational transformation, and cultural vibrancy. From delivering complex offshore projects to driving digital innovation and strengthening client partnerships, our teams have demonstrated what it means to work as One Team.
Here’s a look back at the milestones that shaped our journey.
Engineering Excellence: FPSOs and LNG Projects
This year marked significant progress on major offshore and LNG projects. The P80 and P83 FPSO topsides achieved detailed engineering completion, with all P80 modules installed on the hull and integration activities underway at the Singapore Seatrium yard. The sail-away of P80 is scheduled for August 2026, reinforcing our capability in modular execution.
The Pluto LNG Project successfully transitioned from detailed engineering to the follow-on phase, achieving an impressive 400,000 safe work hours. Advanced SP3D modeling and modular engineering practices ensured seamless execution from engineering to yard and site. Graduate engineers gained hands-on exposure, presenting work to clients and participating in commissioning activities, a true investment in future talent.
Additionally, the P84/P85 program completed DR90 after 18 months of disciplined execution, showcasing predictable delivery and strong collaboration.
ExxonMobil DTI: One Year of Partnership and Progress
Our collaboration under the ExxonMobil LTA DTI contract has been exceptional. Over the past year, nine projects were awarded, totaling more than 460,000 work hours, with 90% executed from India. Key milestones include successful completion of MTJ PDP and major FEED and detailed engineering phases for global projects.
The DM DTI program celebrated its first anniversary, embodying ExxonMobil’s PPP philosophy: People, Partnership, Progress. Four projects were completed, and four more are ongoing, totaling nearly 300,000 work hours. Team-building sessions, rewards and recognition programs, and skill development initiatives have kept teams motivated and future-ready.
Domestic Market Momentum and Strategic Wins
2025 also saw significant strides in the domestic market. PMC for EPCm began for Amufert in January, and PMC for FEED was awarded for Stanch this month both fertilizer projects with Chinese contractors, opening doors for future opportunities in India.
We submitted numerous proposals for green hydrogen, green ammonia, fertilizers, and petrochemical projects. Several prospective client visits including Tata Projects, L&T, Shapoorji Pallonji, Nayara, and Thermax strengthened relationships. MSAs were finalized with Tata Projects, L&T, and BP, while major wins included Mota Engil, BH, and AGUP2.
Bengaluru: Building a Second Engine
The Bengaluru office emerged as a strategic hub, leading projects such as Katlan (LOC) and Vopak (AOC) and managing the brownfield scope of the Bulhanine Project. ExxonMobil PDPs also commenced execution from Bengaluru. Two successful walk-in drives boosted talent acquisition, reinforcing plans to scale skills and headcount.
Process and Technology Leadership
Our process teams drove innovation and client engagement through technical expos with Shell, ExxonMobil, and TotalEnergies, showcasing capabilities and attracting new projects. Initiatives like IPDSS integration, Poseidon HMB automation, and ASPEN+ simulations advanced design efficiency. Four CPCL plant visits provided valuable client proximity and learning opportunities.
Digital Transformation and ITC Achievements
Digitization remained a key focus, with the launch of the CtCC Summary Dashboard achieving 97% adoption. COMOS database integration into Poseidon HC enhanced hydraulic analysis capabilities. ITC delivered eight new projects, nine feasibility studies, and ten proprietary engineering designs. Commissioning milestones included the largest MAGNAC unit at DNL, DWC at BPCL Kochi, and Nitrobenzene at Kutch Chemicals.
Technology development initiatives explored Syngas-to-SAF pathways and electrically heated reactors for methane pyrolysis. Several technical papers were published, and contributions to API standards reinforced industry leadership. Order bookings included a major 400 KTA Phenol project and a green ammonia project.
Culture and Engagement: All In Action
2025 was vibrant with cultural and engagement activities such as Family Day, Zero Harm Day, Holi, Independence Day, Diwali, and the All In launch. Internal games, Quality Month, and upcoming Sports Day and Christmas celebrations strengthened team spirit. Well-being initiatives like gratitude jars, fitness challenges, and marathons promoted holistic health. Learning programs included plant visits and networking sessions, while the revival of the Book Club added a creative dimension.
Finance and Operational Excellence
Operational efficiency was a cornerstone of success. Payroll migration from Genius Consultants to ADP ensured seamless processing for 2,200+ employees, while CTC restructuring improved tax benefits. Bank guarantee processes were streamlined, and audits including statutory, tax, and transfer pricing were completed on time.
GST refunds totaling INR 272 million were secured across Chennai and Gurgaon. The migration from SAP to MSD in October enabled faster intercompany billing and streamlined AP processes, ensuring compliance and continuity despite technical challenges.
Collaboration and Leadership Connects
The IS Summit in Chennai brought together leadership from LOC, SOC, and Abu Dhabi, fostering ideas for collaborative delivery. Client leadership visits including ExxonMobil and other prospective partners strengthened relationships and set the stage for future growth.
The Road Ahead
2025 proved that when we align on purpose and execute with discipline, India can lead on the global stage. As we move into 2026, our focus will remain on deepening partnerships, scaling capabilities across locations, and building a culture where inclusion, collaboration, and excellence thrive every day.
Together, we are All In.
