Championing Safety: Celebrating Zero Harm Day 2025 at KBR
As part of our ongoing commitment to safety and well-being, KBR observed Zero Harm Day on February 26, 2025, with a series of engaging and impactful initiatives. In the lead-up to the day, employees across locations participated enthusiastically in art, photography, and quiz competitions that highlighted the importance of a Zero Harm culture. Winners were felicitated during the townhall event, adding to the celebratory spirit. In recognition of individuals, who demonstrated exceptional commitment to our safety values, CtCC (Courage to Care Conversations) winners were honored by the leadership team during the same program. To reinforce the message of health and safety, medical health camps were organized for employees at our Chennai and Bengaluru offices, emphasizing the importance of proactive health care as a key component of our Zero Harm philosophy.

Making Waves of Change: Beach Cleanup Drive 2025
On the crisp morning of February 15, 2025, IMPACT’s Community Engagement vertical brought purpose and people together for a spirited Beach Cleanup Drive at Edward Elliots Beach, Chennai. From 6AM to 7:45AM, employees and their families — armed with gloves, bags, and endless enthusiasm — joined hands to reclaim the shoreline, collecting a whopping 30 bags (200 liters each!) of waste.
What made the morning truly magical? The sight of kids and adults working side by side, laughing, learning, and leaving behind a cleaner, greener beach. The beauty of the shore shimmered brighter thanks to their efforts, and to celebrate our young eco-warriors, STEM learning kits were gifted —because there’s no better blend than one of sustainability and science.
This wasn’t just about cleaning up —it was about showing up for the planet, together. A morning well spent, a lesson well learned, and a community impact that rippled far past the waves.
Leadership Unplugged: A Conversation with Suketu Guhya
On February 20, 2025, IMPACT brought the spotlight to experience, growth, and grit through its inspiring session, Leadership Insights featuring Suketu Guhya, Program Director – EPC. With candor and clarity, Suketu walked the audience through pivotal moments from his professional journey, sharing hard-earned wisdom on resilience, decision-making, and the power of a growth mindset in navigating long-term career success.
This was a conversation where young professionals from across KBR leaned in, asked thoughtful questions, and fueled a vibrant exchange of ideas that turned the session into an energetic dialogue.
From career lessons to leadership mantras, the event was a masterclass in professional evolution—motivating and memorable.
On FOCUS SERIES: A Deep Dive into Immersive Realities
On March 10, 2025, IMPACT launched The Focus Series, an initiative designed to simplify complex industry trends for early career professionals. Kicking off the series was an electrifying session on Immersive Technologies, diving into the fascinating realms of Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), and Mixed Reality (MR).
From outlining the differences between AR, VR, and MR to understanding product variants from top manufacturers, the session was a masterclass in decoding the future. Participants explored how these technologies are evolving and where they’re headed next.
What made the experience truly unforgettable? A live, hands-on demo with VR glasses brought by Sai Kiran D, our in-house XR specialist — affectionately known as “The AR/VR Guy.” The session turned passive learning into an immersive adventure, sparking curiosity and expanding minds. This was not just tech talk, it was tech you could touch!
Professional Development: Clash of Perspectives – Chapter I
IMPACT Chennai’s Professional Development vertical set the stage for intellectual fireworks with Clash of Perspectives – Chapter I, a high-energy debate series held across two office locations on March 19 and 27, 2025. This wasn’t just a debate — it was a celebration of critical thinking and courage to communicate.
Participants stepped into the spotlight with poise and passion, many pushing past their comfort zones to share their views on complex topics. What unfolded were respectful, thought-provoking debates that showcased not just eloquence, but also empathy and open-mindedness.
The atmosphere buzzed with enthusiasm as team members brought their A-game, engaging in sharp, insightful discussions that challenged norms and sparked new ways of thinking. IMPACT’s Leadership vertical had the privilege of hosting an enlightening Leadership Insights session with Philip Ivy, Vice President – Global Marketing and Communications, on March 28, 2025.
Philip’s session was more than a talk — it was a masterclass in authentic leadership and purposeful communication. With warmth, humility, and candor, he shared his journey of leading global teams, navigating challenges, and staying rooted in values. From fostering trust across time zones to communicating with clarity and conviction, his reflections offered practical wisdom and deep inspiration.

On April 2, 2025, IMPACT Chennai’s Community Engagement vertical brought sustainability to life with the “Waste to Wonders” event — an inspiring celebration of creativity and environmental consciousness. Participants turned discarded materials into incredible works of art and utility, proving that one person's waste can truly be another’s masterpiece.
From vibrant decor to functional items, the event was a showcase of innovation and eco-awareness. What stood out most was the passion and imagination of the participants, who rose to the challenge and sparked ideas for a greener tomorrow.

Networking: Squid Battle – Where Fun Met Friendship
On April 9, 2025, IMPACT Chennai turned up the energy with Squid Battle, a high-spirited networking event that brought the Chennai offices together for fun, camaraderie, and team spirit. Over 50 enthusiastic participants jumped into the action, competing in three engaging games designed not just for thrill. but for connection.
From laughter-filled challenges to unexpected alliances, Squid Battle was about building bonds beyond cubicles. The smooth execution, combined with infectious enthusiasm, made it a standout success. The top 20 performers walked away with exciting prizes and everyone left with unforgettable memories.
Because at the end of the day, networking isn't just about exchanging names — it's about creating relationships that thrive long after the games are done.
Community Engagement: Volunteer Week – Mission Paw-sible!
On April 27, 2025, IMPACT’s Community Engagement team embarked on a paws-itively heartwarming mission at Blue Cross of India, Chennai — and what a day it was!
Our spirited volunteers rolled up their sleeves (and maybe got a little fur on them too!) as they cleaned kennels, painted water bowls, organized supplies, and most importantly, showered rescued animals with love, food, and attention. Even the sweltering heat couldn’t dampen the enthusiasm as our team came together with compassion and purpose.
Thanks to the warm guidance of the Blue Cross team, every task felt meaningful — and every tail wagged in appreciation! This activity was a beautiful reminder of the joy that comes from giving back.
Here’s to many more missions that are paw-sible with a little heart and a lot of team spirit!
Professional Development: Pitch Perfect – Bengaluru Office
On April 29, 2025, IMPACT brought the energy of Shark Tank to life at the Bengaluru office with Pitch Perfect — an event that blended entrepreneurial spirit with professional development.
Designed to sharpen presentation skills, boost confidence, and spark innovative thinking, Pitch Perfect gave employees a stage to shine. Participants pitched bold business ideas and impactful process enhancements to an expert panel of judges, receiving constructive feedback and encouragement.
The creativity, enthusiasm, and problem-solving on display were nothing short of inspiring. From startup-style pitches to game-changing workplace innovations, every idea showcased the vibrant minds of our people.
But Pitch Perfect wasn’t just a contest — it was a celebration of courage, clarity, and communication. It reminded us that great ideas deserve a platform — and that with the right pitch, anything is possible!
Professional Development: I-CAN Session – Ignite, Connect, Achieve, Navigate (Pune & Gurgaon Offices)
The I-CAN session at our Pune and Gurgaon offices was a space where young professionals came together to ignite ideas, connect with peers, achieve clarity, and navigate the art of professional growth.
Focused on enhancing communication and networking skills, the session combined engaging discussions with hands-on exercises. Participants explored bold and imaginative scenarios like “What if I were the Prime Minister or Finance Minister?”— prompting them to think beyond boundaries and reflect on their role in shaping a better future.
The Time-Wise Sequence Quiz kept the energy high, while thought-provoking debates challenged perspectives and sparked creativity. From improving interpersonal skills to building meaningful professional relationships, the session offered practical takeaways and a lot of inspiration.

Whole Brain Leadership with Dr. Ranjini Manian
In this edition of Quarterly Connect, Dr. Ranjini Manian, Founder of Global Adjustments Foundation, hosted a session on Whole Brain Leadership. Through interactive discussions and insightful exercises, Dr. Manian guided employees on how to harness the full spectrum of thinking styles — analytical, intuitive, structured, and emotional — to become more adaptive, inclusive, and impactful leaders. It was a powerful reminder that great leadership begins with understanding not just how we think, but how we connect with others.

Collaborate, Agree, and Prioritize – March Spotlight
March was a month of action and innovation, driven by the powerful theme: Collaborate, Agree, and Prioritize. We had the privilege of hosting Randy Zhou from John Thomson’s Team in Chennai for a transformative two-day Automation Workshop. We had participants from Chennai and Huntsville. The event energized the team, sparking over 100 automation ideas from various leads across functions.
These initiatives will pave the way for greater efficiency and innovation, leveraging modern technologies such as Appian, BOTs, and Power BI. This collaborative effort reflects our shared commitment to continuous improvement and smarter ways of working.
Together, we’re not just generating ideas — we’re shaping the future of Finance Team.
Finance Controllers’ Visit — Strengthening Our Control Framework
During the fourth week of April, Matthew Legros (Internal Control Team), STS Finance Controllers, including Alison Vasquez (Chief Accounting Officer), visited Chennai to conduct a comprehensive review of the Control Framework across Microsoft Dynamics process that supported by Chennai.
Each vertical lead presented their respective control processes, offering detailed insights into how the framework is operating in practice. The controllers conducted a thorough analysis of the systems, ensuring alignment with governance standards and identifying opportunities for further strengthening controls.
The visit not only reinforced our commitment to financial integrity but also fostered valuable dialogue between the leadership teams and functional heads, setting the stage for continuous improvement.
