Igniting Ideas: Ideathon Diversity Workshop

On April 8, 2024, KBR's inaugural "Ideathon" workshop brought together over 50 participants from across India to generate ideas for enhancing inclusivity and diversity. Nine teams collaborated to develop strategies for inclusive recruitment and achieving a 95% retention rate. The Pune team secured first place, with their winning ideas set to be implemented soon to advance KBR’s diversity goals.

Star Puthris: 9th Graders Take the Spotlight

As part of KBR's commitment to STEM education, we proudly welcomed "Star Putris"—talented 9th-grade students from government schools—into our office. These young minds are being mentored by KBR Managers, sparking their interest in Science and Engineering. Global Hackathon Winners Explore Chennai

The winners of the Global Hackathon made a stop in Chennai as part of their world tour. During their two-day visit, they delved into India's business landscape, learned about KBR's digital strategies, and immersed themselves in the local culture, visiting heritage sites around the city. It was an enriching experience that blended innovation with cultural exploration.

Finding Balance: International Yoga Day Celebrations

KBR employees in Chennai and Bangalore celebrated International Yoga Day with a refreshing yoga session. The event emphasized the importance of physical and mental well-being, as participants stretched and breathed their way to a healthier, more balanced lifestyle.

Transforming Leadership: EY Leadership Training

KBR Managers recently completed a transformative six-month journey with the EY Leadership Transformation training. The program equipped them with the tools to understand business priorities, inspire teams, and balance the dualities of leadership. The journey concluded with the creation of Individual Development Plans, setting the stage for both personal and team growth.

At "The Forum" conducted by the Times Group, Geetha and Santhosh shared their insights on how KBR is pioneering inclusivity. They highlighted our commitment to providing equal voice and opportunity for all, reinforcing our position as a leader in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).

Empathy in Action: Disability Sensitization Training

KBR conducted a People with Disability Sensitization training for all Hiring Managers. This crucial session aimed to combat conscious biases and deepen understanding of the challenges faced by people with disabilities. The training empowered managers to be more empathetic and inclusive in their hiring and retention practices.

Promotions in Full Swing: PPS Launch and Closure

The PPS was a resounding success, with 97% of employees participating. Promotions were rolled out across all offices, and once again, KBR India proudly earned the "Great Place to Work" certification, a testament to our continued excellence.

International Women in Engineering Day

Aspire made this year's International Women in Engineering Day extra special by not only celebrating the incredible women in our workforce but also recognizing the Best Male Allies. The event highlighted the importance of allyship in advancing gender equality.

Campus Connections: Loyola College Hiring Drive

KBR's HR team visited Loyola College as part of our College Connect initiative. The event was a great success, with over 200 students and alumni visiting the KBR booth to explore career opportunities and learn more about our business.

Chennai Office 10th Anniversary

KBR Chennai marked its 10th Anniversary in grand style, with celebrations led by STS President Jay Ibrahim. The event was filled with music, performances, and employee recognitions, reflecting a decade of growth and success.
