Arunkumar L, Michael Sachinder M, and Naina Mohamed M

First place went to Arunkumar L, Michael Sachinder M, and Naina Mohamed M for their innovative concept of converting waste brine from desalination units into caustic soda through electrolysis, powered by solar energy. The caustic solution is then used to scrub CO2, forming a commercially valuable sodium carbonate solution. Judges praised the idea for its novel approach, highlighting its potential to align desalination units in Saudi Arabia with the new RICC complex, contributing to the circular economy and decarbonization efforts.

Dayanand C M

Second place went to Dayanand CM for his innovative concept of using treated wastewater to create green biodiversity through gardens, green corridors, and pollinator gardens around the complex. Judges praised the idea for its creativity in transforming outdoor spaces into vibrant ecosystems, supporting the circular economy, decarbonization, and benefiting the community.

Best Performance in Projects

Bhavesh Chaudhari

Bhavesh, part of the OCE (Welding & Metallurgy) team, holds several qualifications including API certifications and memberships in AMPP, AWS, ASM, and AIChE. He played a key role in MSD preparation, metallurgy support for Special Projects, and material selection for KBR’s Critical Mineral PSL and the Equinor Project. Bhavesh also contributed to the implementation of Alloy 699 XA and HR-235 for Nutrien and Vortex Projects. Currently, he is evaluating nitriding resistance across various material grades, testing samples from global manufacturers like Haynes, Paralloy, and Nippon.

Vaibhav Pitre

KBR Pune supported the PTTGC Intelligent Asset Management (IAM) project for the first time, with Vaibhav Pitre leading the effort. Vaibhav optimized the IAM system to manage 13 maintenance warehouses, focusing on warehouse rearrangement, inventory optimization, and SAP integration. He also learned the Smart Inventory Digatex software, guiding the vendor for client-specific updates, and translating client needs into the IAM system. His expertise led to the successful implementation of the IAM system, now actively used by the client.
