Agile Service Delivery Brings Innovative Solutions to U.K. Defence
With the use of unmanned, remotely piloted air systems on the rise, KBR’s Government Solutions Europe, Middle East and Africa (GS EMEA) business is expanding its services integration capabilities and reaffirming collaborative relationships across the U.K. and around the globe to meet the needs of an evolving U.K. defense sector.
The GS EMEA team is utilizing its established services integration approach to bring together highly advanced technologies and impactful capabilities for rapid delivery to help overcome the most demanding immediate and future military challenges. This includes delivery of training, infrastructure, logistical and technical support of unmanned air systems (UAS), remotely piloted aircraft systems, and much more.
KBR works closely with international companies to address these shared global challenges. Among them is Evolve Dynamics, a U.K.-based firm that specializes in UAS and software for public sector services, private security and defense. Their range of systems, designed with open modular architecture, offer easy, portable solutions for users with multiple configuration options to suit the requirement in a wide range of environments.
Our GS EMEA colleagues are also working with Creomagic, a company that provides cognitive and dynamic wireless networks for mission and safety-critical application. Their innovative, compact communication solutions ensure effective communications between ground-based users and systems in often challenging environments with limited bandwidth and maximum effective range.
From space rovers to underwater platforms, across a range of domains from science and inspection to defense logistics and military deployment, KBR’s expertise spans all aspects of autonomous and unmanned systems. Globally, KBR has its own test facilities and operates others on behalf of NASA and the U.S. military. The company also trains military operators in the use and maintenance of unmanned and autonomous systems.

“KBR’s agile and modular service delivery approach, combined with our in-depth sector knowledge and systems integration experience, allows us to create innovative and world-leading solutions with the support of global subject matter experts, helping meet U.K. Defence requirements both now and in the future.” — Andrew Barrie, President, GS EMEA
KBR to Expand Advanced Development Capabilities for U.S. Air Force with $539M Engineering Task Order
For more than 50 years, KBR has provided satellite, ground systems and space communications support to government partners. Today, we’re proud to be a leader in advancing air, space, cyber and missile defense systems for the U.S. military.
In February 2021, KBR won a $539 million engineering task order to support rapid prototyping and fielding of systems for the U.S. Air Force’s Tactical Exploitation of National Capabilities program (TENCAP). TENCAP takes national space capabilities and applies them at the tactical level to support operational requirements.
Over the next five years, KBR will use its air, space and cyber capabilities to assist the Air Force in rapidly delivering agile, leading-edge technologies and systems for the U.S. military. This work will include engineering services in support of geolocation tracking; sensor, data fusion and dissemination; unconventional warfare and special operations; situational awareness; cyber and spectrum warfare operations; air superiority; command, control and spectrum utilization; and real-time large data analytics and virtualization.
Under this new contract, which will be carried out by our teams in Colorado and other locations around the world, KBR continues to enhance its military-space footprint and to deliver solutions for the needs of today and tomorrow, safely and efficiently.

“Expanding our expertise of air domain awareness to the Air Force’s TENCAP program is an exciting opportunity as we continue to develop and deliver tactical, state-of-the-art solutions to the warfighter community.” — Stuart Bradie, KBR President and CEO
KBR Leverages Energy Transition Expertise to Support Data Centers Study in Singapore
From supporting nations’ decarbonization efforts to harnessing the power of renewable, natural resources, KBR is a leader in energy transition. Our company is a trusted advisor to clients around the globe, designing innovative solutions, optimal processes and specialized technologies needed to achieve energy transition objectives. For example, KBR has a proud history of supporting Singapore’s drive to reduce fossil fuel emissions and achieve carbon net zero by 2050, and our team recently added more work supporting those objectives.
In January 2021, Keppel Data Centres, a manager and operator of premier data centers across Asia-Pacific and Europe, awarded KBR a study to assess alternative hydrogen-based energy solutions for new data center investment and deployment. The study will complement work by Keppel Data Centres and Royal Vopak, a world-leading tank storage company, to meet an increasing demand for cloud-based, centralized data services in an ever-increasing digitalized market.
This project will be supported by KBR’s Strategic and Advisory Consulting team, which boasts experts in the hydrogen, energy efficiency decarbonization and process optimization fields. KBR’s recent work with the Prime Minister’s Office of Singapore — which provides a road map for the country’s energy transition — combined with this study brings Singapore one step closer to achieving a zero-carbon economy.

“This study is an exciting opportunity for KBR as we help create a more innovative, sustainable future through the global energy transition initiative. “Our commitment to sustainability is evident by the relationships we forge in the communities in which we operate, and this contract reaffirms that pledge.”
— Jay Ibrahim, President, KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions
