A Message from Stuart Bradie
KBR President and CEO
Welcome to another year of KBR Link!
Even in the face of extraordinary circumstances, this past year was one of significant achievement for KBR. All the wins, breakthroughs and extraordinary stories of our people were captured right here in KBR Link. And if this new edition is any indication, we have a lot to look forward to in 2021.
As you click through these new pages or revisit content in previous issues, I hope you’ll take a moment to notice the common thread that weaves all these stories together — our people. From our transformative Reimagining initiative, to the enormous success of our sustainability efforts, to our outstanding operational and financial performance, our team of teams has pulled as one and kept KBR moving forward. That has been in no small part because of our focus on our people. In this edition’s feature story, you’ll get an in-depth look at KBR’s people strategy in 2021. Shaped by analysis, research, feedback and best practice, the strategy is built on four core priorities. These priorities are helping ensure that we become the employer of choice for the world’s best talent, while also accomplishing our business objectives and delivering the best solutions and results for our customers.
You’ll also read about one of the exciting new offerings from our Sustainable Technology Solutions portfolio — Plastics Recycling. This game-changing technology converts waste plastic into feedstock for refineries, keeping it out of our oceans and landfills and creating a true circular economy. It is yet another example of how KBR is delivering technology that changes the ways our customers do business while also helping them accomplish their sustainability goals. In our Functional Focus section, you’ll read about the amazing work being done by the newly renamed Real Estate Solutions to ensure KBR’s global footprint not only meets the strict requirements of our businesses and customers, but also that our spaces help us work better, smarter and more sustainably. And in the People of KBR, one of my favorite sections, you’ll hear directly from some of your colleagues from around the world, learning about their unique backgrounds and their experiences. Additionally, you’ll see we’ve changed the format of the photo contest this time around. As part of our “Making It Count” sustainability campaign, we’re encouraging everyone to submit images that capture the social or environmental Zero Harm Commitments they’ve made. So please keep your photos coming and show us how you’re living Zero Harm and making decisions that count!
I hope you enjoy exploring this first KBR Link of 2021. I can’t wait to see what stories we’ll tell together next.
