FUNCTIONAL FOCUS

Each quarter, KBR Link’s Functional Focus highlights the teams behind the business and explains how their work, recent wins, improvements and new initiatives affect you and benefit KBR. This quarter, we’re spotlighting Investor Relations (IR), a team playing a critical role during one of the most important strategic moments in KBR’s evolution.

As KBR advances the planned separation of Mission Technology Solutions, IR is focused on clearly positioning both Mission Tech and "new” KBR, ensuring each is understood by investors and analysts, valued and positioned for long-term success.

Connecting Strategy, Performance and Confidence

KBR’s IR team serves as the primary interface between the company and the investment community. IR’s role is to ensure investors and analysts clearly understand KBR’s (and SpinCo’s) strategy, financial performance and long-term value creation, especially as the companies streamline and hone their portfolios and prepare for structural change.

IR works closely with KBR’s executive leadership and Finance, Legal and Communications teams to translate complex business operations and financial results into clear, consistent messaging. The results of this collaborative approach help build confidence and manage expectations, and they reinforce KBR’s commitment to transparency and strong execution.

Positioning Mission Tech for Success

A key priority for IR has been helping the investment community understand Mission Tech as a distinct, mission-focused, technology-driven business.

IR has played an important role in articulating that Mission Tech has:

  • Strong alignment to government and national security customers
  • Differentiated capabilities across defense, intelligence and space
  • An attractive growth profile driven by mission-critical demand

By clearly separating the investment thesis for Mission Tech during the spin-off phase, IR helps ensure investors can evaluate the business on its own merits, supporting credibility, confidence and long-term value for the future standalone company.

Reinforcing a Profitable, Focused Future KBR

At the same time, IR is equally focused on ensuring that "new” KBR is understood as a strong, profitable and well-positioned enterprise with a clear strategy and compelling financial profile.

IR’s work emphasizes how the future KBR will:

  • Maintain a disciplined operating model and margin focus
  • Deliver consistent cash flow and strong returns
  • Pursue diverse, attractive end markets aligned with secular growth trends including global energy security and resilience, critical infrastructure, sustainability and digitalization

By clearly communicating how KBR will perform post separation, IR helps investors understand the company’s long-term profitability, capital allocation priorities and strategic focus.

Recent Wins and Messaging Improvements

In Q1 2026, IR continued strengthening investor engagement through clear and consistent communication around quarterly results, operational performance and strategic milestones.

The team has begun making improvements to investor presentations, disclosures, press releases and other supporting materials to better reflect the distinct value propositions of both Mission Tech and KBR. These enhancements help reduce complexity, improve transparency and ensure stakeholders have a clearer view of how each business creates value.

IR has also deepened collaboration across internal teams to ensure major developments like contract wins, strategic initiatives and financial updates are communicated accurately, consistently, and in a timely manner across all external engagements.

Why Investor Relations Matters to You

Even though most employees don’t interact directly with investors, IR helps complement and reinforce business performance to the investor community. Clear investor understanding supports access to capital, financial flexibility and continued investment in people, programs and innovation.

IR also ensures the work happening across KBR and Mission Tech every day — delivering for our customers, executing programs and advancing technology — is accurately reflected in the market’s perception of value. That credibility benefits everyone by strengthening the company’s ability to grow and compete.

Looking Ahead

As KBR moves closer to the separation of Mission Tech, IR will be deploying a dedicated Mission Tech IR team, who will remain focused on clarity, consistency and execution. Upcoming priorities include continued engagement with investors, refined post-separation messaging, and close partnership with internal teams to support a smooth and successful transition.

By positioning both Mission Tech and KBR for long-term success, IR is helping ensure each organization enters its next chapter with confidence, credibility and a strong foundation for growth.

We plan to host two Investor Days in mid-November, one for KBR and one for SpinCo. These events will represent important milestones as we demonstrate our preparedness and confidence in launching two strong, independent companies.
