CONNECTIONS

There are approximately 37,000 KBR employees across the globe. Though we’re separated by miles, we are all connected by our values and shared purpose. In Global Connections, we celebrate our diverse team of teams by highlighting some of the places where we live and work.

In this edition, we’re thrilled to spotlight KBR's new Washington, D.C. office!

Where Influence Meets Innovation

Washington (referred to as simply “DC”) is known globally as the capital of the United States and is renowned for its rich history, iconic landmarks and vibrant political scene. Home to the White House (presidential residence), the U.S. Capitol and the Supreme Court, the city serves as the heart of American government.

It’s also known for its world-class museums, many of which are part of the Smithsonian Institution, and its striking monuments including the Lincoln Memorial and the Washington Monument. Beyond politics and history, DC boasts a diverse cultural landscape, lively neighborhoods and a thriving culinary scene that reflects its international character.

Rooted in the Capital, Ready for Impact

Recently, KBR opened a new office in Rosslyn, Virginia, a strategic location that enhances our ability to interact with key stakeholders and reinforces our commitment to the nation’s capital. The new office is one of five DC-area offices which account for 900 KBR employees. Other locations include Chantilly and Fairfax, Virginia, and Fulton and Lexington Park, Maryland.

The new office — five minutes from the Pentagon, 10 minutes from the White House and a 15-minute drive from the Capitol Building — will allow the company to engage further with congressional and executive stakeholders, in addition to creating close proximity for government customers including the Department of War and intelligence community, among many others.

“KBR is doubling down on the DC area to better help our government customers solve some of their most complex issues,” said KBR President for Defense, Intel and Space Mark Kavanaugh. “With the government taking on ambitious and critical national security projects like the Golden Dome, private sector support is necessary. KBR stands ready to help execute on these missions.”

Strategic Advertising in DC

KBR expanded the THINK KBR campaign with a targeted campaign and visibility for key customers and stakeholders in DC. The THINK KBR campaign ran for a month at the Gallery Place/Chinatown metro stop, a main artery for the train system in downtown DC. This is the same stop as the main professional sports stadium, Capital One Arena, one stop from where AUSA (the U.S. Army’s annual meeting) was held, and is a vibrant neighborhood with top restaurants and museums. The campaign featured capabilities and awareness of all the solutions KBR provides and underscores that we want customers to THINK KBR when they need a problem solved for mission success.
