The ELT Shares Thoughts on Recent Successes — and the “Secrets” Behind Them
“At KBR, we are a people-first company, driven by our values and our commitment to creating an environment where everyone can belong, connect and grow. Being well positioned in growing markets globally, the double-digit growth forecasted across all metrics in 2025, our momentum, and the prestigious awards we’ve won — and continue to win — are all a testament to that commitment and the strength of our team.”

Glassdoor’s Best Places to Work 2025
KBR was recently named to Glassdoor’s list of Best Places to Work 2025, coming in at No. 40 out of 100 recognized companies in the U.S. In fact, KBR ranked higher than some of the world’s most well-known brands — like Gartner, Meta and Apple. See what Jenni Myles and Jay Ibrahim had to say about this achievement.

Jenni Myles
Executive Vice President and Chief People Officer
What do you think it is about KBR’s culture that sets us apart from other employers?
Jenni Myles: Living our values. I've never worked for or seen another organization where the values are as deeply embedded in everyday behavior and used to guide difficult decisions.
This award is based off real KBR employees’ feedback. Some of the key comments are around having an agile work schedule, good work-life balance and fair pay. In 2025, how will KBR continue to provide or even exceed these benefits?
It's not always within our control, but wherever possible we lean into offering flexibility to our employees and will continue to do that. We trust them to do a good job, which means we don't need to control how/where they work (although for some jobs/contracts there are more restrictions). On pay, this will always be a tricky balancing act, but we continue to push our customers for good pricing as we believe our people are the best and that's the way to keep competitive in the talent market.
How about you, Jay? What sets KBR apart?
Jay Ibrahim: Being recognized on Glassdoor’s list of Best Places to Work 2025 is testament to the unique culture we have in KBR and our greatest asset — our secret sauce — our people!
I think this recognition also drives home the importance we place on connections at KBR. Building global connections in business isn’t just about expanding reach or increasing profits. It’s about fostering an environment where different perspectives come together to spark innovation, drive meaningful change, and create a workplace where every individual feels included and valued. When we embrace different cultures, ideas and experiences, we not only strengthen our business but cultivate a community that thrives on collaboration, empathy and the shared goal of collective success.

Forbes’ Most Trusted Companies in America
KBR has been recognized on Forbes’ Most Trusted Companies in America list. The list combines data on a wide range of factors across four categories — employee trust, customer trust, investor trust and media sentiment — and is fueled by literally hundreds of millions of data points! Mark Sopp, Sonia Galindo and Byron Bright share their reflections on this achievement.

Mark Sopp
Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
What do you think it is about KBR’s culture that sets us apart from other employers?
Mark Sopp: KBR has a long history of delivering for clients, and our growth and diversification have expanded that impact globally. More customers rely on us than ever, strengthening trust in our brand.
More importantly, our company culture is more connected, aligned and interdependent. Teams in India now play a key role in creating deliverables. Our shared values and Zero Harm safety culture unite us the world over. A tighter team means greater effort to support each other, going the extra mile to enhance what we deliver — ultimately building even more trust.
As CFO, what fills you with the most pride when you reflect on KBR’s growth journey over the past five years?
Rapid growth can sometimes lead to greed, backstabbing and bureaucracy. But I’m most proud that KBR has built a strong, caring and humble culture. We stay self-reflective and accessible, and even have fun. Those are values we truly live by.
While we've doubled revenue and quadrupled profit in the past six to seven years, we’ve also managed to strengthen our culture. People take pride in their work, support each other, and stay connected. Awards like this mean more to me than financial success, because in the long run, how we behave and our culture will drive far greater impact than numbers alone.
Where do you believe KBR's greatest strength will be in the future?
Humility to uphold our values, courage to embrace change, and drive to deliver excellence in technology, processes and people. These qualities fuel our vision. They inspire us to shape safety, security and sustainability for our clients, employees and communities.
Why do you believe our customers and investors see KBR as a trusted company?
Sonia Galindo: Our customers and investors see KBR as a trusted company because of our unwavering commitment to excellence and integrity across all facets of our operations. We consistently prioritize the needs and expectations of our stakeholders, fostering a culture of transparency and accountability. This dedication to building and maintaining trust is reflected in the strong relationships we have cultivated with our clients, investors and the broader community.
What fills you with the most pride when you reflect on KBR’s recent successes?
Our ability to innovate and adapt in ever-evolving industries. We've successfully navigated numerous challenges, continually pushing the boundaries of what's possible, while staying true to our core values. It's incredibly gratifying to witness the remarkable progress we've made, and I'm confident that our future holds even greater achievements.

10 Years of Dedication to Zero Harm
On February 26, KBR celebrated the 10th anniversary of its annual Zero Harm Day event. The company-wide, global event recognizes the importance of what having a strong safety culture is all about: that the goal of zero incidents can be achieved and how each of us can embrace a 24/7 mindset of living safely, regardless of whether we’re at work or at home. Nick Anagnostou reflects on 10 years of Zero Harm Day.

Nick Anagnostou
Vice President of HSSE
What are your thoughts when reflecting on KBR’s achievement of a company record 26.8 million work hours without a recordable injury or illness?
Nick Anagnostou: It is very gratifying, as the milestone truly represents the achievement of Zero Harm over an extended period of time, supporting the fact that the objective — zero incidents — is achievable.
KBR’s Zero Harm culture has grown to encompass new topics such as mental health and well-being. When you think of the future of Zero Harm, what, if any, changes do you envision?
Zero Harm will continue to evolve as new topics and challenges arise. There is never a dull moment nor a lack of opportunity in a company that never rests and is the true depiction of 24/7.
What is it about celebrating our 10th Zero Harm Day that fills you with the most pride?
Zero Harm Day is a chance to recognize our people, and this is the one thing I appreciate the most about the event. Our people are truly amazing and have contributed so much along our safety journey over the last 10 years.
