KBR observed National Intern Day on July 25, celebrating the fresh perspectives and contributions of our 261 U.S. interns.

KBR acquired LinQuest, an engineering, data analytics and digital integration company with a legacy of solving complex technical challenges for national security missions in support of the U.S. Space Force, U.S. Air Force, and other U.S. Department of Defense and intelligence agencies.

This year KBR appointed two new members to its board of directors — Joseph Dominguez and Nchacha E. Etta.

KBR’s highly complex Iron Stallion technology can find, watch, track and report on the movement of objects in space. Not only has Iron Stallion proven effective in the U.S. and U.K., but it also now forms an integral component of the Australian government’s space domain awareness.

KBR extended an open invitation to media representatives for an exclusive tour of the Aerospace Environment Protection Laboratory (AEPL), a historic centrifuge, high-altitude testing, and critical fast-jet and astronaut training facility. The AEPL was recently featured in the Amazon Prime documentary, “The Blue Angels.”

KBR achieved Zero Harm in the months of June and July! Throughout both months, neither we nor our controlled subcontractors experienced any injury or illness beyond those that require basic first aid. This brings KBR’s total number of fully incident-free months to eight. But it’s the first time we have achieved two consecutive Zero Harm months in our 100+ year history, all since the launch of Zero Harm in 2015.

Integrated Solutions America announced it has partnered with the Future of STEM Scholars Initiative (FOSSI). The initiative is the chemical industry’s collaborative equity, diversity, and inclusion initiative aimed at creating pathways for more underrepresented groups to enter and succeed in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) careers in the chemical industry. KBR will sponsor two scholars over the next four years, joining a growing list of organizations who together have raised more than $35 million to support over 700 students.

Avina Clean Hydrogen Inc. selected KBR’s sustainable aviation fuel technology, PureSAF℠, for a project in the U.S. Developed by Swedish Biofuels, PureSAF technology is exclusively licensed by KBR worldwide. KBR will provide the technology licensing, proprietary engineering design, and front-end engineering design for Avina’s facility, which will produce 120 million gallons of sustainable aviation fuel per year.

We launched KCOTKlean℠, a suite of low- and zero-carbon technologies aimed at decarbonizing the catalytic olefins process. This technology integrates KBR’s catalytic olefins technology, K-COT®, with Korea Institute of Machinery and Materials’ (KIMM) CPOx technology to achieve significant carbon reduction by leveraging circular feeds, cleaner fuels, electrification or carbon capture.
