KBR’s Armed Forces Community (AFC) employee resource group (ERG) proudly connects veterans, reservists, spouses and supporters across the company. The community honors the sacrifice and commitment of those who serve and raises awareness for issues and events related to this important community.

It’s been a busy year for the AFC! Global chapters have hosted several fun events, including The Networking Roundup and Hotdogs and History. Keep an eye out for future events, including volunteer opportunities, pop-up events, 9/11 memorial services in the United States, and more.

The AFC strives to develop and implement initiatives that promote inclusivity, professional development and advocacy for the armed forces community. And we invite you to join us! We are now accepting applications for the interim board, which will continue to grow site leadership, and membership, while continuing to support KBR veterans.

KBR's Military Commitment

For decades, KBR has been trusted by the U.S. government and its allies to support service people around the world, ensuring they’re equipped and prepared when and where duty calls. But KBR’s commitment to these brave individuals goes beyond active-duty military service. KBR proudly employs thousands of veterans and reservists, offering fulfilling careers and opportunities to continue serving the U.S. and allied governments once active service has ended. After all — no one can understand the sacrifice, discipline and tenacity needed to tackle critical missions related to national security, defense, space security and exploration, cybersecurity, and other crucial areas better than those who have served.

– Stuart Bradie, KBR President and Chief Executive Officer

UK Armed Forces Covenant Gold Award

KBR’s Skillbridge Program

SkillBridge is a military career transition program that helps retired or separated service members find civilian employment. The program allows soldiers, airmen, sailors, Marines and guardians to sign up for corporate internships six months before they leave the service. During that time, the service member receives their base pay and housing allowance, which provides a risk-free way to try out a new career while transitioning from active duty. The program also helps companies match with service members to fill key positions on mission-critical projects around the globe.
