
With approximately 34,000 employees throughout 30 countries, there’s never a shortage of interesting facts to learn about KBR. Each quarter, KBR Fast Facts fills you in on some new and exciting things you may not know about our people, culture and work from across the globe.

Earlier this year, KBR supported the U.K.-based Centre for Leadership Performance’s Dream Placement, a unique initiative that brings together motivated young people aged 16 to 18 with some of the most forward-looking and successful businesses operating in the U.K. KBR welcomed two young people to join our team on the Programme and Project Partners (PPP) contract at the Sellafield Ltd site where we are building a capability for the future, and creating a clean and safe environment for generations to come.
We shared our 2024 global Talent Acquisition Strategy recently which aims to elevate our global Talent Acquisition capabilities, ensuring a dynamic and inclusive workforce for the future. Key areas include improving our Workday Applicant Tracking System (ATS), a global recruitment marketing strategy, a coordinated early career recruiting strategy, and taking our Pathways courses to the next level with Pathways 2.0.


The Frazer-Nash Consultancy Talent Acquisition team delivered 392 niche hires in 2023 with an impressive 30% female hires, compared to the engineering industry average of 16.5%. Thanks to the team’s efforts, Frazer-Nash was recognized by TheJobCrowd as the 2023-24 “Top Engineering and Manufacturing Company” for Graduates to work for and were also finalists at the Inhouse Recruitment Awards.
KBR has achieved many milestones recently in India. The most important has been the phenomenal growth over the past year. The overall engineering headcount doubled, from 700 to over 1,500, including successful recruitment of 70% women graduates. KBR’s new office in Bengaluru is operating at full capacity with the recent hires, adding to KBR’s success in India.


In May 2023, KBR set a milestone record of 42 consecutive Zero Harm days, which is the longest run of Zero Harm days since inception in January 2015. In June 2023, KBR achieved a milestone record of 9,912,000 consecutive hours, the most consecutive Zero Harm work hours since inception.
In a recent round of graduate engineer trainee hires in Gurgaon, 56% of trainees selected were female, by far the highest rate of post-graduate engineer trainee hirings over the years. These candidates were selected from the top engineering colleges of the Indian Institute of Technology.
