Functional Focus

Each quarter, KBR Link’s Functional Focus highlights some of the people behind the business and explains how their work, recent wins, improvements and new initiatives affect you and benefit KBR.

For this issue, we thought it’d be fun to introduce you to the team behind KBR Link — and a whole lot more — and the world-class capabilities they employ to help keep KBR moving forward.

Presenting KBR Marketing.

Your Global Marketing Team

Perhaps most importantly, KBR Marketing embodies our fifth ONE KBR Value, “We Are a Team of Teams.”

Our content and design specialists work together across four continents, sharing resources and deploying a wide range of world-class services that help KBR businesses accomplish their strategic objectives and to win work.

Currently, we have dedicated teams supporting KBR’s Government Solutions U.S., Government Solutions International (EMEA, APAC and Infrastructure Services Australia) Sustainable Technology Solutions, and KBR functional businesses. But these teams regularly work together to help deliver projects and initiatives, from executive presentations to proposals to recruitment campaigns — and more.

We’re creative. We’re agile. We’re experienced. We’ve got you covered.

Your Strategic Partner

KBR Marketing is about more than just making cool stuff (even though we DO make incredibly cool stuff).

One of the most valuable services we provide internal clients across the business is strategic planning.

From the very beginning of the creative process, we’re there asking questions to help ensure whatever the ask is — whether brochures, digital toolkits, videos, custom logos, sales resources, presentations, original content or anything else — that it maximizes return on investment and adheres to KBR’s stringent brand standards.

Your Creative In-House Agency

“Yes, but tell us about the cool stuff,” we hear you saying. Well, how about this publication you’re reading right now? Or maybe you like the In Orbit podcast. That’s us. Are you enthralled by each new episode of the “5 in 10?” We did that. We work closely with stakeholders to develop a range of custom marketing pieces and collateral for internal and external initiatives and campaigns, as well as for external-facing business development, strategy and sales purposes.

Campaigns

From the “Making It Count” sustainability personal accountability campaign to the current “Your Place” recruitment campaign for social media, KBR Marketing capabilities — including ideation — help bring campaigns to life.

Digital and Print Brochures and Publications

KBR is a complex business. One of the best tools we have at our disposal for telling our stories is the tried-and-true brochure. However, KBR Marketing works overtime to bring the brochure into the 21st century, with top-end print and digital pieces that help bring our businesses to life.

Videos and Webinars

KBR presents internal and external videos and webinars featuring leadership and subject matter experts from across the company on a variety of topics. KBR Marketing supports development of these efforts, including planning, scripting, interviewing, filming and producing. Webinar examples include the Vision Executive Series — which features members of the executive leadership team (ELT) and ELT+ — and the Sustainable Technology Solutions Webinar series. The team has also produced many standalone videos and video series, including “People First,” “Personal Perspectives,” and the “5 in 10” series.

Trade Shows and Events

As the world gets back to some semblance of normal following the pandemic, trade shows and events are once again becoming valuable forums for broadcasting KBR capabilities and expertise. We work with stakeholders to create not just trade show deliverables, but also full event experiences. KBR’s Marketing teams are also experienced in providing at-event support for both small- and large-scale shows and expos.

Merchandise Support and Sourcing

Everybody loves swag! And when it comes to KBR merchandising, our team is involved every step of the way, from concept to delivery. In addition to designing merchandise that looks great and complies with brand standards, KBR Marketing has relationships with several vendors, which helps us ensure the best pricing and that the items we select are sustainably sourced.

Did You Know?

KBR’s house writing style is largely modeled on Associated Press Style. And because KBR’s corporate headquarters is in the United States, most public announcements and press releases are localized to U.S. English.
