Participants Selected for KBR’s 2022 Global Leadership Development Program

Launched in 2016, the Global Leadership Development Program (GLDP) is designed to strengthen KBR’s leadership culture and to help top leaders develop executive skills. The yearlong program includes a rigorous executive assessment, three weeks of residential course work, individual development planning, executive coaching, and team-based Horizon 3 strategic projects. The GLDP is the capstone level of KBR’s commitment to talent development. KBR leadership programs bring in top talent through our internship programs and focus on continual learning with our education reimbursement program as well as the Manager Excellence Program (MEP) for high-potential mid-career managers. Additionally, KBR’s talent development teams are continuously developing and deploying learning programs tailored specifically to meet the needs of our employees.

KBR’s Next Generation Asset Management System, Asset IkigaiSM, Achieves International Certification

KBR’s next-generation asset management system, Asset IkigaiSM, was recently granted a certification by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). This award was the culmination of an 18-month effort by a cross-functional team consisting of KBR professionals representing Asset Management, Quality, Operations, KBR Corporate, and both Naval Support Activity Bahrain and Poland. The ISO brings together experts to share knowledge and develop voluntary, consensus-based, market-relevant international standards that support innovation and provide solutions to global challenges. KBR’s accomplishment is especially noteworthy considering that the list of known certified organizations maintained by the ISO contains no other corporate certifications for service providers and only eight certifications for U.S.-based organizations.

Asset management used to refer to maintenance only. However, spurred by ISO 55001 and its predecessor standards, asset management now embraces the entire asset life cycle, as well as energy and sustainability impacts. It also places a much greater emphasis on asset risk management.

“This prestigious accomplishment recognizes the breadth and depth of our asset management domain knowledge and ability to innovate in the asset management space,” said Jonathan Coburn, Global Asset Manager for the Readiness and Sustainment business unit. “The unique value of Asset IkigaiSM is its ability to enable asset managers to make better cross-functional decisions through advanced analytics considering multiple data sets.”

During the audit, the external assessor was very impressed with how Asset IkigaiSM links seamlessly to the KBR Integrated Management System as well as to asset management software tools. By implementing ISO 55001 standards, KBR can manage the life cycle of assets more effectively while lowering costs and risk, which delivers exceptional value to customers. Congratulations team on a job well done!
