A Message from Stuart Bradie

KBR President and CEO

Welcome to the Q1 2022 edition of KBR Link

For the past two years, it’s been my pleasure to introduce new issues of this publication. When we launched KBR Link, we wanted to create something that brought KBR stories — your stories — to life with an exceptional level of quality, creativity and attention to detail. I think we’ve certainly achieved that. The main goal, however, is right there in the masthead — “Connecting Our People and Our Business Globally.” The world is more connected than it’s ever been, with endless news, information and other content available at the swipe of a finger, not to mention the ability to instantly connect with people all over the world. The events of the past two years have taken the idea of connection to a profound new level. So many experienced the difficulty of being separated from friends and loved ones and the relief felt at long-awaited reunions. The same thing is true of now being able to reconnect with colleagues and co-workers in person or meeting new team members for the first time. Of course, connection has been and will continue to be a guiding force for KBR and our business strategies. You can see it in the virtual tools we use to link our global team of teams on a daily basis, and in the ways we’re building synergies across our business. It’s in the bonds of support we’re encouraging through our employee resource groups (ERGs), and in the relationships we’re building and nurturing with new and existing customers. It’s in the numerous communications channels we’ve created to keep you informed, and in the calls we send out for your feedback and opinions so we can ensure KBR has an employee experience that’s second to none.

In this edition of KBR Link, you’ll discover many other ways KBR is encouraging and experiencing connection across our business. In the feature story, you’ll hear about how we’ve strengthened our respected and growing global consulting capacity, particularly in the UK, through the acquisitions of Harmonic and Frazer-Nash, and about how we’ll be able to leverage that capability across our entire business. You’ll learn about our new ERG, MERGE (Minority Employee Resources Group), which has been created as a vehicle for employees of underrepresented demographics to freely express ideas and to develop new initiatives with a community of like-minded individuals. Also in this issue, we’re pleased to introduce you to one of our newest board members, Carlos Sabater, who brings a wealth of international business expertise developed over his prestigious career to the KBR Board of Directors. Finally, we’re excited to launch the KBR Link Trivia Contest, and I encourage you all to participate in that for a chance to win some amazing prizes. There’s much more to discover in this edition of KBR Link. I hope you take some time and explore each section and experience the ties that connect us all to each other. Happy reading!
