A Message from Stuart Bradie

KBR President and CEO

Welcome to the newest edition of KBR Link.

They say time flies when you’re having fun. If this year is any indication, time also flies when you’re doing great work and making extraordinary progress — and hopefully having fun along the way. That’s exactly what KBR has been doing! Across the company, our people have been successfully executing on our mission and delivering solutions that are really making a difference. And we’ve been doing that with an unwavering focus on ESG (environment, social and governance), both inside and outside the company. As always, we’ve captured a few of those exciting victories and stories for you here in KBR Link.

I’m particularly excited about this edition’s feature story, which highlights our outstanding Sustainable Technology Solutions business. Over the past several weeks, you may have heard about some of the significant global developments surrounding climate change, including the EU’s “Fit for 55,” an aggressive plan to reduce emissions 55% from 1990 levels by 2030 and China’s plans for a national carbon market. These measures are in addition to the work being done by the thousands of signatories (including KBR) that are part of the United Nations (UN) Global Compact and the UN Net-zero Coalition. As the world begins to stem the tide of climate change it is exciting to think about the role that KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions will play. We are helping governments and companies transform the ways they fundamentally think about energy and the technology needed to produce it. In the feature story, you’ll learn more about how this crucial segment of KBR’s business continues to grow, how we are making important alliances, and how we are winning new and exciting work that has the ability to have a significant positive impact.

As we know, in addition to making a difference for the planet, KBR’s passion for ESG is also about making a positive difference in people’s lives. In this edition, you’ll read some of the success stories of KBR’s agile working arrangements, which are helping our people work in ways that work best for them. Fittingly, you’ll also learn about the amazing work our global IT teams are doing to modernize and improve the ways we do business and to keep our information and IP protected. We are also proud to announce that in each new edition of KBR Link, we will be highlighting the work being done by our employee resource groups or other related employee-driven groups, beginning with the All In global inclusion and diversity (I&D) community.

That’s just a glimpse of what’s in store for you as you read through this quarter’s KBR Link. I’d like to remind you to please submit your photos for the KBR Link Photo Contest, the focus of which is on our I&D and Sustainable Travel pillars this time around. Finally, if you have an idea for a story or thoughts on how we can improve the content we’re sharing in KBR Link, please let us hear from you.

I hope you enjoy. And as always, thank you all for everything that you do.
