Zero Harm Commitments

KBR Employees Make it Count

Since the launch of KBR’s “Making It Count” sustainability campaign in February, almost 2,000 people have committed to making meaningful changes that will help improve our sustainability impact, both as individuals and as a company. As part of the campaign launch, we asked you to make a personal pledge by choosing at least two Zero Harm Commitments where you feel you can make a difference at KBR, at home or in your community.

Here’s a glimpse at the most popular pledged catagories …

Recycle / Reuse

The most popular choice has been the Recycle/Reuse Sustainability Pillar, with 71.7% of participants saying they will develop a recycling routine at home and at work and will educate themselves about what can and can’t be recycled.

Health, Safety & Security

With KBR’s strong Zero Harm culture, it’s no surprise that Health, Safety & Security is the second most popular choice, with 48.8% of people making this one of their selections. More specifically, employees have said they will identify and mitigate all risks before starting a task and have the right Courage to Care Conversations when observing at-risk behavior.

Efficient Energy

Another popular selection is Efficient Energy, with 690 people pledging to turn off the lights at home and at work if not in the room for more than 15 minutes. Powering down work computers and other electrical equipment, either when working from home or in an office environment, was also a popular pledge.

We would like to say a big thank you to those who have made your commitments so far. There is still time to participate in “Making It Count” and we encourage everyone to share their pledges, as every individual contribution — big or small — will make a difference in mitigating our social and environmental sustainability impact.
