Celebrating Zero Harm Around the World
Celebrating Zero Harm Around the World
At KBR, safety is more than policies and procedures — it is a fundamental value that defines us and sets us apart from our competitors. No mission, project or program is successful unless it is delivered without harm to KBR personnel, clients, property or the environment. As a company, we truly believe Zero Harm is achievable, and that starts with each of us making a personal commitment to adopting a safety-centric mindset both at work and at home. In February 2020, all of us at KBR celebrated our fifth annual Zero Harm Day. KBR office locations and job sites worldwide spent the day celebrating organizational safety accomplishments and recognizing individuals and initiatives that make KBR a safer company. It was a day full of fun, safety-themed celebrations featuring barbeques, talent shows and games. Each year, Zero Harm Day is an opportunity for us to come together and reflect on our own personal commitments to safety and how we can improve safety both at work and at home. One way we can all accomplish this is by regularly focusing on this year’s Zero Harm Day theme, situational awareness — being attuned to what is happening around you in terms of where you are, where you're supposed to be and whether someone or something around you is a threat to your health and safety. By being more situationally aware, we can all continue to make strides toward our goal of being incident-free. Here are some of our favorite moments from Zero Harm Day celebrations around the globe!
