A Message from Stuart Bradie
KBR President and CEO
I’m very proud to welcome you to the inaugural edition of KBR Link, a dynamic, new quarterly e-magazine that uses articles, images, videos and more to tell parts of the KBR story that we might not get to experience on a daily basis. Moreover, it’s meant to connect KBR employees around the world and to highlight exciting things happening across our different business units. As you read this, the world is in the middle of a global health crisis. The COVID-19 outbreak is an unprecedented event. But in this time of uncertainty, we have been taking actions to support you — our people — our families and our customers. I am humbled by your amazing efforts around the globe. You have pulled together, shared ideas and implemented best practices to continue to provide world-class service, while also responsibly protecting your own well-being and the health and safety of your colleagues.
It seems appropriate, even important, during this time, as we all practice social distancing and implement our remote working policies, to use this new e-magazine as a way to connect with one another, learn more about each other, and shine a well-deserved spotlight on specific areas in the company. The feature story for this first edition focuses on the Four Words for 2020 that I mentioned just before the new year — Passion, Teams, Trust and Sustainability. In this special feature, you’ll hear from members of our executive leadership team as they discuss what those four words mean to them personally and how the words are guiding KBR forward this year and beyond. You’ll have the opportunity to read about some of the new initiatives and trends taking root across KBR, including the recent launch of the Yammer social media platform — yet another way we’re encouraging teamwork and collaboration across the company. You can also see photos and read about Zero Harm Day 2020 celebrations that happened all over the world, as we all came together to focus on safety and situational awareness. I hope you enjoy reading KBR Link and hope that it inspires you as we look forward.
