Making KBR Vision a Reality
KBR Launches New Global Webinar Series
presented by
With an extensive portfolio of next-generation solutions, KBR experts are tackling the challenges of tomorrow all over the world and in outer space. To provide our employees with an interactive way to learn more about how we’re doing so, and to engage with colleagues across international boundaries, KBR launched the KBR Vision Series in August.
The new global webinar series is presented by IMPACT — KBR’s employee-led career development organization — and is designed to give all KBR employees an in-depth view of what’s happening in different areas of our business through special one-hour virtual events. Hosted by young professionals in IMPACT, each session is broadcast live from KBR locations around the globe and features company thought leaders and subject matter experts presenting on a variety of topics.
What "space" is KBR in?
The inaugural Vision Series session was presented by Houston’s IMPACT chapter and featured Todd May, Senior Vice President, Government Solutions U.S. – Space & Mission Solutions, in a presentation titled, “What space is KBR in?” During the WebEx webinar, which took place at two different times to accommodate a global audience, May gave an overview of major developments in space, including civil, commercial, and military and intelligence programs, and explained KBR’s current position in these markets. May also touched on KBR’s future space strategy and the role we’ll play in the quest for the next frontier. Following the presentation, members of the Global Marketing and Communications team helped lead a Q&A and interactive feedback sessions using Mentimeter.
“We’re very excited to bring our employees the Vision Series and showcase KBR’s capabilities and industry-leading solutions through a new, virtual scope. This webinar series provides opportunities for collaboration between teams and added visibility for our people and locations throughout the global KBR network. The first session was a huge success and we look forward to the ones ahead!”
Philip Ivy, Vice President, Global Marketing and Communications
The new Vision Series is also another example of how KBR is reimagining how we deliver, using virtual tools not just to enable employee productivity, connections and learning opportunities, but also to help facilitate professional development.
“Because the ongoing pandemic has disrupted normal in-person career development activities, the Vision Series provides IMPACT members with a new way to learn and grow within the company in a virtual setting. IMPACT Houston is proud to bring the first of many Vision Series webinars to life and to give employees another avenue to stay informed about the many aspects of our business.”
