A Message from Stuart Bradie
KBR President and CEO
Greetings and welcome to another exciting edition of KBR Link. With the world in its current state — when we’re separated by not only miles, but also by the effects of the ongoing pandemic — connection has never been more important than it is now. As you click through the pages of this outstanding new edition of KBR Link, I hope you’ll look at it as a chance to connect with your colleagues around the world, to learn more about each other, and to read about just a few of the things that make this an amazing company.
One of the things I’m excited for you to read about is how KBR met the challenge of the pandemic and embraced it as an opportunity to reimagine how we deliver. Our success with adapting to remote working and virtual project delivery has shown that we were already well on our way to becoming a modern, flexible and sustainable company. Now, through the Reimagining How We Deliver campaign, we will continue to transform our company culture, our work practices and our workplaces on our journey to becoming the workforce of the future. This transformation will be crucial in the coming months as we transition to our new two-segment, higher-end, solutions-oriented business model, which will feature our enhanced Technology Solutions business and our Government Solutions business. By focusing on delivering higher-end, sustainable solutions, we will simplify our business, create stability for our people, and be positioned for long-term, strategic growth and success.
Also in this issue, you’ll have the opportunity to hear from Lynn Dugle, the newest member of KBR’s board of directors. Lynn brings with her more than three decades of expertise in the technology, government and space industries, and we are thrilled to have her voice and ideas helping guide KBR’s trajectory. You’ll also learn about some major project highlights from across our business units. And you’ll read about how technology, such as Microsoft Teams, has kept us all connected and successfully delivering for our customers during the pandemic.
Lastly, I want to remind you that the story of KBR belongs to all of us. So we want to hear from you! If you have an idea for a story in an upcoming issue of KBR Link, please let us know. And don’t forget to submit your caption, or a photo for consideration, in the KBR Link Caption Contest.
Thank you, and enjoy!
