Vision for Reconciliation
KBR’s vision for Reconciliation is an Australia that embraces unity and fosters a sense of belonging for all Australians. KBR is committed to truth telling, identifying past injustices experienced by First Nations Peoples of Australia and working towards a reconciled future that includes historical acceptance of our shared history.
KBR will continue to engage and listen to the many communities we work across. We will contribute to a nation that embraces diversity and equality between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and other Australians. This will support us to guide and shape new ways to positively address greater employment and training outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities.
With inclusion and diversity at our core, we will stand up and actively promote reconciliation by strengthening relationships and building greater levels of respect, and by providing real opportunities for First Nations Peoples to contribute meaningfully within the workplace.
KBR is strongly committed to driving positive change through reconciliation. We believe greater empowerment of First Nations Peoples will lead to better outcomes for all Australians.

Defining our sphere of influence
We currently have 14 people who have self-identified as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander employees.
It is our goal, through our continued Reconciliation journey, to attract and retain a greater number of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people; and to provide real and meaningful career opportunities where individuals can flourish.
Our size and capacity means we can positively influence a wide range of stakeholders – from our own employees, to customers, partners, suppliers and subcontractors.
As part of our Innovate RAP journey, we want to better understand the contribution KBR can make toward engaging all Australians in reconciliation. We’ll do this by better defining our sphere of influence which maps out key internal and external stakeholders, looking beyond our employees, customers, partners and suppliers, and outwards to the wider communities and society as a whole. With our sphere of influence mapped out, we’ll look for ways to work with our stakeholders to advance reconciliation in the areas of race relations, equality and equity, unity, institutional integrity and historical acceptance. This commitment is reflected in action 1.2 of our Innovate RAP.
