People's Perspective Survey

Overview

How we chose what questions to ask

We know your time is important, so we wanted to make sure that the time you spent on the People Perspectives survey was productive. To that end, we formulated survey questions around KBR’s employee value proposition. We aim to inspire our people through our shared purpose, culture and values, and to offer them fulfilling careers with an exceptional employee experience, all underpinned by compelling and competitive rewards. Your responses will help us determine if the employee value proposition is translating in our employees’ everyday experience at KBR. Overall, we saw that employees appreciated being asked their opinions and to have had the opportunity to voice them.

I think surveys like this should be a regular occurrence and that the results should be shared with employees.”

How we’ll use the data

Data is important, but so were your comments. We received 6,749 comments and we have reviewed and recorded every single one. But we want to assure all employees that survey responses and comments cannot be connected to individual respondents. Some comments are included in this report on an anonymous basis to help bring your feedback to life, but otherwise the comments are only visible to the senior human resources team. Reports for managers to begin developing and executing action plans were built with anonymized data. We will track trends as we repeat the People Perspectives survey in future years.

Diversity of responses

The People Perspectives survey addressed global themes, which are reflected in this report. We recognize that responses vary based on numerous factors including location and experience level. We understand there are differences between different parts of the business, as well as cultural differences between geographic locations. For example, most companies find that survey responses are very positive in India and less positive in the UK, and we have also seen this pattern at KBR. These differences are being factored into our interpretation of the survey results and are being considered as we develop local action plans.
