Flexible Working
As COVID-19 brought much of the world to a standstill, at KBR we continued to deliver successfully for our customers thanks our people’s commitment and implementing effective virtual and collaborative tools.
Given how successful our unexpected first foray into company-wide remote working has been, we are continuing to use digital tools alongside our Zero Harm safety and sustainability approach, and keeping an agile mindset to help us continue to adapt to change. This means we can continue delivering exceptional and transformative work for you, our clients. Our ‘KBR Agile Work Weeks’ offer our people ongoing flexible working arrangements and has been key to this success as well as attracting an even broader pool of exceptional talent to our company.
Agile Work Weeks
The global pandemic has shown us that being in a traditional office from nine to five is not always necessary to deliver effectively for our customers. Historically, we have offered alternate work weeks (AWW) – an attractive work arrangement that gave many of our people every other Friday off. Now Agile Work Weeks allow us to offer even more flexible working arrangements that appeal to a broader, more diverse group of potential candidates and have allowed us to reduce our physical office footprint, reduce waste, conserve energy and travel more sustainably.
Our Agile Work Week arrangements cater both to you, our customer, and to our people’s needs whether that is flexibility around core hours or working from different locations. Any flexible working arrangements our managers approve are designed to ensure we meet your needs while giving our people flexibility.
Employee Resource Groups
Pride and Allies
KBR Pride and Allies is an employee-led group whose mission is to support the LGBTQIA+ community and help to educate its allies. Valuing and treating human beings equally and equitably, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity, are rightfully becoming the norm for prospective, new and existing employees, and for our customers. Pride and Allies was founded on the belief that businesses are more successful and employees more productive when those employees can be themselves. The group is for everyone, no matter their sexual orientation.
Aspire
ASPIRE is an employee-driven resource group committed to the development of women and the promotion of gender diversity at KBR. ASPIRE is dedicated to building a culture of inclusion and respect in the belief that equity enhances team performance and makes KBR a better, more efficient business.
IMPACT
IMPACT is an employee-led organization that serves as the launching point for developing young professionals within KBR. Through professional development, networking, community outreach, and career and personal enrichment, IMPACT seeks to motivate, retain and develop our members, and transform them into future leaders at KBR.
Communities
KBR Communities is an employee-lead group dedicated to engaging with schools & charities in the local Leatherhead community. At present we support four core charities: Queen Elizabeth's Foundation, Combat Stress, Leatherhead Youth Project and Wildlife Aid.
Armed Forces Community
The Armed Forces Community is an employee-led group that aims to bring together veterans, reservists and active duty family members to create a support network within the KBR military community.
OK NoW
OK NoW (Network of Wellbeing) is an employee-driven resource group which advocates building resilience and educating others on the best ways to take care of themselves. OK NoW tackles difficult conversations and works to change the culture around mental health through providing information, Lunch & Learns and Tea & Talks.
