KBR provides responsive, cost-effective depot support, customized to the customer’s operation and mission. KBR has saved customers millions of dollars through the successful management of on-site and off-site, centralized and decentralized repair facilities. KBR’s capability in providing depot-level support to geographically-dispersed facilities, while maintaining high levels of system availability, is well-recognized throughout the industry. Our specialized proprietary maintenance program, Agile Maintenance (AM), realizes a 35% man-hour reduction and an 85% material reduction over traditional Army maintenance. To date, this has saved the U.S. government more than $3 million in labor and material.
Proven Performance
KBR’s team provides continuous prepositioning improvements through rapid problem solving and has successfully provided solutions to major base operation efforts including:
Marine Corps Prepositioning Program:
For more than 35 years, under the Marine Corps Prepositioning Program (MCPP) and its predecessor contracts, KBR maintains and repairs $4.2B of prepositioned equipment and supplies, representing more than 50% of all U.S. Marine Corps ground combat assets such as military vehicles, equipment, and material, at Blount Island Command in Jacksonville, Florida. The services include supply chain, kitting, shipboard, and in-theater support. On short to no-notice, KBR can deploy the Marines Corps’ combat power to any port in the world.
Army Prepositioned Stock (APS) Programs:
KBR is a leader in maintaining and repairing key equipment for the U.S. military. Our team has decades of experience supporting prepositioned stocks for the U.S. Army. Prepositioned stocks are an essential part of total Army readiness, allowing the U.S. to quickly equip forces and respond to threats. KBR is a leader in both land-based and afloat prepositioning programs. Our team has successfully performed over 100 ship cycles between our Marine and Army prepositioned stock programs. As part of a significant baseline and future state formulation effort, the program engaged in an extensive value stream transformation effort of maintenance and logistics operations that reduced excess government inventory.
National Training Center (NTC):
Under the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program (LOGCAP) contract, KBR provides maintenance and logistics services at the National Training Center in Fort Irwin, California to support the U.S. Army building brigade combat team readiness with ten annual training rotations. Though NTC is not officially part of the U.S. Army’s prepositioning program, NTC is a key part of total Army readiness, and our team is proud to support this window into future APS maintenance requirements.
