Join the EVA and Environmental Physiology Lab (EEPL)
Be at the forefront of cutting-edge operational research supporting NASA's extravehicular activities (EVAs)! This part-time rotation offers hands-on experience in research crucial for upcoming planetary exploration missions. You will participate in operational research for space flight, focusing on denitrogenation prebreathe protocols; conduct studies in Building 7's 20ft chambers; troubleshoot test equipment and perform ultrasound scans on human subjects; operate consoles during test campaigns and document per protocol; and monitor and train test subjects, prepare test hardware, and clean equipment.
You’ll need a bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering or related science field and approximately 2-3 years of experience or combination of graduate-level education and experience. You’ll also need to have the ability to support weekends, holidays, and shift work schedule as needed during the test campaign.
