Delivering a cleaner, greener future

Sustainability challenges of energy, water and food are interlinked:

Water scarcity and food security are inextricably linked to energy transition. Energy is required to resolve both challenges as the world seeks to execute urgent adaption strategies given the accelerated impacts of climate change.

Water scarcity is linked to critical energy transition pathways such as hydrogen (especially where desalination is required). Drought-stricken areas have diminished hydro-energy capacity, as well as competing uses for food and fertilizer production. Both mitigation and adaptation strategies will be needed given increasing water stress around the globe

Food security is linked to critical factors of production such as water, fertilizer and sustainable land use. Energy transition can also compete with food security in the case of biofuels, and decarbonized ammonia for fuels / energy instead of fertilizer. Mitigation through decarbonization will not be enough.

KBR has a proven track record in energy supply chain and associated infrastructure development, including water recycling, distribution and wastewater treatment. This provides a foundation upon which to integrate future water security and decarbonized energy solutions.

KBR has a proven track record in delivering energy production, optimization and transition solutions. This provides a foundation upon which to develop sustainable renewable energy solutions across both water and food supply chains.

KBR has a proven track record in ammonia supply chain solutions, as well as capabilities in bio-energy. This provides a foundation upon which to deliver sustainable energy-fertilizer solutions via complementary biomass and ammonia pathways.

Integrated approaches are essential to ensure the security of energy, water and food supplies, the decarbonisation of power, and to increase climate change resilience. Our Systems Approach is ideally suited to addressing these challenges. We are working to make the world a more sustainable place.

We champion natural capital, combining environmental consultancy with modelling and economic analysis to offer a fully compliant.

We work with government and industry to ensure infrastructure and technology projects are delivered efficiently, effectively and sustainably.

We manage and support emerging technological innovation that will help develop novel solutions to sustainability challenges.
