ARMED FORCES COMMUNITY NEWSLETTER

Issue 2 | September | 2024

Welcome to the latest Armed Forces Community Newsletter!

You are most welcome to our latest edition of the AFC Newsletter. Looking to engage with all parts of our business, we hope to bring you news and topics from the wonderful work we are currently and hope to be engaged in. From charitable events to calls out for volunteers, your Newsletter will be produced on a quarterly basis.

Our Employee Resource Group demonstrates the value that veterans, spouse and reservists provide to our business. KBR and Frazer-Nash are continuing to work together to demonstrates how we deliver and exceed our Armed Forces Covenant Employer Recognition Scheme obligations, whilst supporting military charities essential for supporting those who have served and their families.

We continue to support our veterans, reservists, spouses, adult cadet volunteers and charity partners with a very active committee, dedicated to ensuring that KBR understand the value that employing military personnel and their families bring into an organisation. I hope that this newsletter demonstrates all the great work going on. I ask if any people who have not self-declared their military background in Workday to do so, and to enrol as an active supporter through the AFC ERG intranet site. We are looking to plan a great Remembrance Service this year and we hope that you can join us on Monday 11th November 24, more communication will follow.

Since our last newsletter, KBR and Frazer-Nash Consultancy are proud to be among the first defence-focused organizations to join the Pride in Veterans Standard (PiVS), led by Fighting with Pride (FWP). This initiative supports LGBT+ veterans, serving personnel, and their families, alongside notable UK organizations.

Chair of KBR’s UK Armed Forces Community ERG

“Our commitment to supporting veterans extends to recognizing the unique experiences of LGBT+ veterans and those currently serving. We look forward to working with the Pride + Allies ERG and Fighting with Pride to create a safer and more respectful space for everyone.”

It has been a pivotal moment within our internal Armed Forces Community. Firstly, a short introduction from myself. My name is Hannah Wiltshire, and I joined Frazer-Nash as a Talent Acquisition Lead in September 2022, looking after recruitment within the Defence area of the business.

By luck within my role, I was able to pick up our involvement with CTP events externally, which started a very exciting journey to now sitting as a co-chair for the Armed Forces committee here at Frazer-Nash. I have the privilege of working with our internal community, and working hard to ensure we continue to recognise the skills veterans, service leavers and their family bring to Frazer-Nash by consistently championing our presence at military recruitment events amongst other initiatives.

A culmination of hard work has brought us to a pivotal moment of being awarded our Gold DERS this year. A short and challenging 18 months of dedication, belief and collaboration across Frazer-Nash to achieve this momentous award.

Hannah Wiltshire

Frazer-Nash Armed Forces Community Co-Chair
