We’re here to support your journey
Preparing for an absence from work can be complex. These items can help prompt you to think about other preparations you may need to make.
- We recognize communication may be challenging during deployment, and we remain flexible in our expectations. If there are any changes to your military leave schedule, including your expected return date, please advise your designated HR People Partner or manager as soon as possible. This helps the team plan ahead and ensures pay and benefits stay on track.
- For guidance and tracking of military leave your designated HR People Partner and manager are available as needed to ensure all teams are informed at the same time.
A strong military leave journey blends policy, human support and cultural respect. By combining compliance with empathy, we ensure employees can serve with peace of mind while staying connected to their civilian careers.
- Job Security - Military leave in the U.S. is protected by USERRA, ensuring that service members can serve without losing their civilian job security. Employers must reinstate them fairly and protect their benefits and cannot discriminate against them for their service.
- Reemployment Rights - Review the conditions of your leave with your designated HR People Partner.

If the requested absence is for 30 consecutive days or fewer, the submission of the Workday Absence request is encouraged.
